ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

Promotes the development, implementation and utilization of electronics communication as an effective means of support for the Associations membership and administrative offices.

  • Coordinates with the Administrative Office, Board of Directors and committees to ensure that electronic communications are used effectively.
  • Monitors and addresses ongoing issues regarding website content, updates and other administrative or interface concerns.
  • Reviews the website and web board quarterly, monitoring the appropriateness of the content and links, making recommendations to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, as appropriate.
  • Educates and promotes use of electronics communication by the Association membership.
  • Collaborates and interfaces with Association Committee Liaisons and Task Force Liaisons regarding activities/issues pertaining to electronics communication.
  • Monitors new developments in the electronic communications field and make recommendations to the Board of Directors on the implementation of appropriate technology.
  • Works with the Administrative Office in conducting cost/benefit analysis of proposed new electronics communication technology.
  • Monitorsand proposes revisions to existing electronics communication methods.
  • Reviews requests from other organizational websites to add a link to the AASCIPSW Web site, determine appropriateness, and submit recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  • Beta tests all electronic communication offerings before they are initiated and released to the membership (e.g. electronic submissions of grants or program submissions).
